I didn’t fall off the face of the earth…

No I didn’t fall off the face of the earth. Life got in the way.

I’ve been really busy. There have been changes at GRASP, where I work, with Michael John Carley stepping down as the Executive Director – he’s still the Founder of the organization – and Kate Palmer stepping up to fill his shoes. There was Christmas, and winter. There’s my ongoing food column, North Country Kitchen – a new one each week. There’s increasing involvement as the board member of the Tri Lakes Center for Independent Living.  I’ve stepped up to start a business, and must write a business plan. There’s Adirondack Advocators. And the TBI group. And skiing and snowshoeing daily with my two fur-boys. That keeps me in shape. There’s cooking healthy meals, developing new recipes. There’s housecleaning, stacking wood, cleaning snow off the shed roof, and other chores. There’s my Middle Grade novel, Masquerade, that’s sort of taken a back seat. And my forthcoming cookbook, Quick and Easy Meals from your North Country garden, CSA or farmers’ market – that’s taken center stage.  I’ve also written a foreword for Barbara Bissonette’s  book, Asperger’s Syndrome Workplace Survival Guide.  and a chapter for Easy to love, another forthcoming book. And there’s endless book proposals and article queries sent to agents, publishers and magazines that rarely even respond.

But I really will try to post a blog on a more frequent basis…
